Alex Pereira claims

A big topic of conversation before this huge title fight was that Ankalaev will fight during the Ramadan, and although the majority of his camp was outside of Ramadan, his final weight cut comes with us.

The Russian will be the only Muslim fighter to fight for a UFC title during the Ramadan, and he recently said that he will give him more power and strength for his fight against Pereira.

Ankalaev has already talked about the potential of an immediate remark against ‘Poatan’, but the champion has submitted a claim.

“With all respect, I do not involve any religion. I am a guy who knows how to respect, I know how far I can speak. I think a lot before speaking, ”Pereira began explaining in an interview with Agfight.

“But I think he uses the (Ramadan) as an excuse. If something happens, it is as if he bet: “Oh, I can’t because of my religion.” Or “I lost because I couldn’t relax very well and trained too weakly.”

“But today I have my lunch boxes, the UFC lunch boxes, and there were two bags with several lunch boxes with his name, all with a specified time. He doesn’t do that (fasting). He deceives people and tells them so that he can have an excuse later, ”Pereira continued.

Ankalaev claimed that Pereira participates in UFC events for “free alcohol”

If he has not booked a defense of the title, the 37-year-old champion enjoys his free time by participating in the fights and meets the fans.

At the beginning of this year Pereira took part in the UFC 311 and was attacked by Ankalaev, who claimed that he was only participated in UFC events for “free alcohol” and “camera era”.

Pereira has a well -documented story with alcohol and before his fighting career he was a fighting alcoholic.

During one of the last training sessions of his camp, Pereira sent his teammates an inspiring message and touched how he changed his life through training fighting.
