The student of the Louisiana College died after he was repeatedly hit the chest at Hazing, the man was arrested

A student of Baton Rouge College, who died after taking part in a brotherhood event outside the campus, was repeatedly hit the chest during the promise, the police said on Friday when she announced the arrest of a 23-year-old man.

Caleb McCray turned out to the police on Thursday evening, a week after the death of the Southern University and the A&M College student, Caleb Wilson. McCray is charged with homicide and criminal harassment. His lawyer did not immediately answer a request for a comment.

Several suspects are involved in Wilson’s death, said TJ Morse, chief of police at Baton Rouge, at a press conference. The investigators have two people for whom they are looking for arrest warrants, he said.

The police were made aware of Wilson’s death on February 26 at around 2:40 a.m., said Morse. It was initially reported that Wilson died on February 27th.

The authorities were initially informed that a group of men Wilson had deducted in the emergency room and said he collapsed in a park during basketball, said Morse. The group left the hospital before the police arrived.

Morse said that the detectives learned that the incident took place in a warehouse and that Wilson “died of a direct result of a harassment incident, in which he was punched several times while he promised Omega Psi Phi.

The chief of police would not say how many people were at the event and said: “At no time did anyone call 911 or tried to call 911 or try to call an ambulance to the warehouse to provide medical help.”

On Wednesday, the university announced in a Facebook post that, according to the fact that the event was not approved, an internal investigation had been started. Dennis Shields, President of the Southern University System, said on Friday that the investigation lasts.

“Words cannot express how sad we are due to the loss of our student Caleb Wilson,” he said. “Our collective thoughts and prayers are still at Calebs family, friends, classmates and everyone who knew and loved him.”

The fraternity was instructed to stop all activities, and every Greek organization on campus has been informed that no additional membership admission could take place for the rest of the academic year.

Omega Psi Phi said last week in a statement that Wilson’s death felt “deeply”.

Wilson from New Orleans was a “committed” member of the “Human Jukebox” of the university. He studied mechanical engineering.
