Kings vs. Clippers Preview: Play-in Preview?

The kings have had a bit rolling since the all-star break and have won five of their seven games since the break. However, there was only one of these victories against a team that is currently over 0.500. The kings don’t have many of these games left and only a few just as important as today’s game against the Los Angeles Clipperers, the team directly in front of the Kings in the Playoff classification. At the moment, the Clippers are half a game in front of the Kings for the 8th place, but they also lead the season series 2-0 and effectively adds another game when the Kings lose the series. I will not be uphill for the kings on the street without you having two of your best players again, but hopefully you can handle the pressure and come out.

Let’s talk about Kings basketball!

When: Sunday, March 9th, 6:30 p.m. PT
Where: Intuit Dome, Los Angeles, CA
TV: ESPN, NBC Sport California
radio: Sactown Sport 1140 a.m.

For their consideration

The Clippers had no good start to their post all-star Break run and have been 3: 6. Norman Powell, the team’s leading scorer, was on the road for a large part of this route and will stay outside against the kings tonight. However, the Clippers still have the services of James Harden and Kawhi Leonard, together with a solid rotation with people like Ivica Zubac, Derrick Jones Jr. and former King Bogdan Bogdanovic.

The Kings have not played more since November when Mike Brown was still the head coach and the team looked very different. Sacramento tried to score in both games and did not have to break 100 points against a hard Clipper defense, even though Kawhi Leonard missed both games. However, the Clippers were one of the best defenses in the NBA throughout the season and were associated with the Orlando Magic for 2nd in the league in the defensive rating. It helps to compensate for their lackluster crime, which is only the 20th place. In fact, a large part of the Clipper’s offensive comes because of their defense because they occupy 20 per game in the NBA in the NBA -OFT -Turnovers. They also do a good job in keeping teams from it, getting points for the second chance, so that the second would in the league.

The clipper are not a striking team that will dominate them in one way or another. Most of them are consistently good and rely more on their hard work and effort to turn the tides. The kings must correspond to their intensity at both ends of the court. The kings have more offensive firepower than the Clippers, even if Domantas Sabonis and Malik Monks continued to continue. Zach Lavine has shot the lights since the All-Star break, and the kings will need him to continue to do so. Lavine played against the Clippers this season, but it was a fantastic performance from 35 points to 11: 21 from the field with a 13-point bull victory.

The Clippers like to slow down the game and they were successful in both games against the kings, Sacramento got out of their game and forced their own will. James Harden, who has a down season in terms of statistics, looked like the kings like the old James Harden in both games, with Sacramento preparing him far too much too much (19 attempts in two games). The kings have to find a way to defend hardness without falling on his tricks, and I assume that the kings will give him several different looks, but Keegan Murray may be best suited for the job.

Both teams know how important this game is for the later playoff classification. The kings have to take one against the Clippers this season. Tonight, the Kings means that the kings would have to get a complete game on the Clipper on the street in order to avoid potential tie -breakers. It would also be nice for morality that the kings beat an actual playoff candidate, something that they have not done since the beginning of February (I do not count the Mavericks plagued by injuries). The Kings will also have another game at home against the Knicks tomorrow, so this evening will be a nice start to the week.

forecast

Keegan Murray blocks James Harden in the clutch and the kings escaped LA with a highly competitive victory.

Kings 114, Clipper 109
