Cody Ford returns to Bengal

According to reports, the Bengals have reportedly agreed to bring their most versatile offensive lineman back when headlines with a two-year deal for Cody Ford appeared this weekend.

The 28 -year -old Ford has one year when he became the first Bengal’s offensive player in at least 1980, who, according to Elias, starts games in four different positions in the same season.

After making his first start at the right tackle in Pittsburgh last season since his rookie year 2019, Ford said that he wanted to trace it with the Bengals.

“I would like to come back. No. 1 Spot on my list,” said Ford. “I love what’s going on here. Love the boys, love the employees, the organization. I would like to come back.”

Before he started this start against the Steelers, he was a particularly scarce end in Carolina and started five more games on the left tackle instead of his college team colleague and close friend Orlando Brown Jr. Ford, two games in the left guard also started in his nine starts 6: 3 instead of Cordell Volson.

The game on the right tackle was the most remarkable. After Ford had implemented a trip in favor of Amarius Mims, he fought a breast injury to keep the Steelers All-Pro-Sacker TJ Watt from the Stat side from 19-17 from 19-17.

Ford finds his third season with the Bengals back to a new offensive line. Scott Peters and Mike McCarthy are the new offensive lines trainers, and Alex Cappa, the starting goods for 50 of the last 51 games, was released last week.

He goes to his seventh NFL season, which rises on a varied curriculum vitae.

As a rookie, he started 11 games that really attack the bills. Next year he made five starts in his left guard, two right. Next year all seven starts came to the right guard. After trading from 2022 to Arizona, there were three starts in the left guard. His only start in his first year as Bengal in 2023 was a particularly scarce end in Pittsburgh.

His work excited the team radio analyst Dave Lapham, who played twice for the Bengals all five O-line positions in the same game.

“(Ford) was against damn good players, and they brought him in individual situations a few times and did not hesitate to do it,” said Lapham after the season. “They gave him help. Everyone will get help at some point. They gave him help. But when he had to start one to one against good players, he held more than his own man.”
