Bhupesh Baghel’s son, others from Ed in Chhattisgarh alcohol ‘scam’; Congress manager reacts | Last news India

The ED conducts raids in connection with the money laundering case at 14 locations in Chhattisgarh.

The premises of Chaitanya Baghel in Bhillai and some other people in the state are searched in accordance with the prevention of the Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Chaitanya Baghel shares the accommodation in Bhillai with his father and therefore the premises are covered, reported the PTI news agency.

The nameless sources said PTI that some “left” have occurred between Chaitanya Baghel and the alcohol syndicate and some others are examined.

Bhupesh Baghel’s office reacted to the raids and said: “If someone tries to stop the congress in Punjab through this conspiracy, it is a misunderstanding.”

“When the wrong case was dismissed seven years before the court, the guests of Ed came into the residence of the former CM and Congress General Secretary, Bhupesh Baghel this morning,” says the explanation on X.

The ED previously said that the Chhattisgarh -liquor fraud “was” massive loss “for the state treasury and filled the pockets of the beneficiaries of a spirits syndicate with more than £2,100 crore of the proceeds of crime.

In this case, the ED had arrested the former minister and congress manager Kawasi Lakhma in January, apart from Anwar Dhebar, the older brother of the Mayor of Raipur and the congress manager Aijaz Dhebar, the former IAS officer Anil Tute, the Indian Telekommunicationsdienst (ITS), Arunpati Tripathi, and some others as part of his Investment.

The alleged alcohol fraud in Chhattisgarh was orchestrated between 2019 and 2022 when a congress government cited by Bhupesh Baghel ruled the state.

The ED offered a fortune £205 Crore of various defendants than part of his probe so far.
