App state recognized as R2 Research University for high research activities, doctoral production – the Appalachian

App State was recognized by the Carnegie classification of universities as university institutions R2 Research University in February. This describes universities that spend more than 5 million dollars for research and development and produce at least 20 research lecturers annually.
