First alarm weather day Saturday for a significant tornado threat

Birmingham, ala. (WBRC) – We pursue strong storms in East Alabama on Thursday evening and produce heavy rain, possible hail and gusty winds. We already had some hail producers today and this risk will continue this evening.

Otherwise we should take some cloud breaks this evening for the beginning of the entire lunar eclipse. Hopefully we will continue to see some cloud breaks when the solar eclipse reaches its peak after midnight.

We dropped the alarm day for Friday because the dry weather is expected most of the day. It will be windy with heights of 80 °.

The setup for Saturday is becoming a particularly dangerous situation. An increased instability and windscher lead to the risk of severe storms on Saturday morning that can produce tornados. Know that when storms end in the early Saturday, which is not the main event, since another round of heavy storms and tornado risks will be added in the afternoon and continued until evening.

The conditions will improve on Sunday, with dry weather and seasonal conditions for St. Patrick’s Day. Another cold front brings a chance to show off and possibly a few storms in the middle of the next week. At this point, however, no organized storm is expected.
