Staley said he had sex with Epstein employee in NYC apartment

(Bloomberg) – Jes Stagey said that he had sex with a member of Jeffrey Epstein’s employees in a New York apartment of the brother of the predicted pedophile financier.

The former Barclays PLC boss said as part of his legal contestation against the British supervisory authorities and said he had a mutually acceptable sexual relationship with a woman who worked for Epstein. He said that he did not believe that the convicted sex offender was aware of the relationship.

A lawyer from the Financial Conduct Authority said that the woman had previously claimed Epstein’s estate. The FCA’s lawyer added that the woman asked the court to exclude staley from any agreement that she achieved with the estate.

When asked about his visit to the apartment, Staley said that he was only there once. He said he got to know the woman when he was waiting for Epstein, who was often too late for her meetings. Epstein was a customer of JPMorgan Chase & Co., where Staene worked until 2013.

Staley tries to lift a lifelong ban on the British financial regulatory authority that realized that he was “ruthlessly crazy” about his relationship with Epstein, which died in a New York prison cell in 2019. Stalley has long claimed that he has no knowledge of Epstein’s misconduct.

The FCA said that the court was not asked to check whether Staeney was involved in Epstein’s misconduct. It was said that the incident was raised as an example that showed that the relationship between the two men was tight and “over one who was professional in nature” was exceeded.

“They would not be sent between two people who weren’t close,” said the FCA lawyer, Leigh-Ann Mulcahy.
