Buffalo Bills sign familiar former Panthers CB to strengthen the secondary depth in NFL -free

According to NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo, the Buffalo Bills welcome an old friend.

“A reunion in Buffalo: CB Dane Jackson back to the #Bills at a one -year deal, says Quelle. After a year with the #Panthers, Jackson is back with the team that designed him in 2020,” tweeted Garafolo.

The 28-year-old Jackson was a choice in the seventh round in the 2020 NFL Draft and spent his first four seasons with the bills. Last year he signed a two -year contract with the Carolina Panthers, but he could not meet the expectations.

Injuries defined a large part of Jackson’s term with the Panthers when he only played in nine games in the season. He started the year with an injured reserve and could never lead to dynamics afterwards.

Jackson was cut by the Panthers last month, and now he has the chance to start fresh in a familiar place with the Bills, where he will be able to go back to things while continuing his career with the team that has designed him.

Jackson joins Christian Benford, Te’cory Couch, Daequan Hardy, Ja’Marcus Ingram, Taron Johnson and Cam Lewis as the Cornerbacks on the squad for the Bills. Buffalo will probably try to add one or two more during the design, and Jackson can serve as an experienced voice for these newcomers.
