Lane Johnson, Eagles post -work contract; Add guaranteed money to 30 million US dollars

Lane Johnson will stay with the Philadelphia Eagles until at least 2027 in the course of the 2027 season.

Philadelphia announced that it approved a one -year contract extension with its star offensive Tackle on Monday:

Adam Schefter from ESPN reported that Johnson will earn 48 million US dollars in the next two years, with 40 million US dollars guaranteed. Ultimately, the move added 8 million US dollars in the next two seasons and guarantees an additional $ 30 million.

While Johnson will be 35 years old next season, it is no surprise that the Eagles want to keep him even longer.

He exceeded the increased expectations that have been set up when the NFC East team selected it with the number 4 of the NFL design in 2013 and was a franchise pillar during its 12 seasons.

Johnson’s résumé comprises two super bowl championships, two all-pro-selection of the first team and six per bowl nod. He also did not seem to slow down with age because he has a third Pro -Bowl selection in a row.

The Oklahoma product performed in 15 games of the regular season and then in all four playoff games during the 2024 campaign and helped open holes for Saquon Barkley while Jalen was protected.

Per Football Focus gave him an impressive overall grade of players of 85.4 for his efforts and underlines how important he is to work for the entire crime as planned.

Regardless of his performance over the rest of his contract, he will be an Eagles legend forever, which is so dominant for so long and helps them bring two super bowl rings. It is not often an offensive lineman is one of the faces of the franchise, but this is certainly the case with Johnson and Philadelphia.

And there is no reason to assume that he will not continue to occur at a high level, since he plays the rest of his business with the only NFL team that he has ever known.
