Six teams that were left out of the NCAA tournament holder

play

There were 68 teams who celebrated the selection on Sunday and prepare for their first matchup at the men’s NCAA tournament, but there are several teams who have the same opportunity.

Every year, teams in the bubble try to prove that they belong on the field. Most of the time, these teams build up a curriculum vitae that is worth doing March Madness. Unfortunately, the tournament selection committee decides for a different way because the cases of this team were not strong enough, or there were simply not enough places to get them into the bracket. Last year, several offers were stolen by conference tournaments, and although this was not nearly the case this time, there were still teams who have the right to be annoyed by the decision, especially after the controversial decision to take North Carolina.

The big dance will always be magical, but that doesn’t mean that all the right teams have entered. Here are the biggest snubs of the NCAA men’s tournament from 2025:

West Virginia

The shocking omission are the climbers, of which they were generally assumed to create the field before it turned out that it was the first team to miss it. The impressive start of the year for the coach of the first year, coach Devries, was not sufficient after a late slump that lost in the first round of the Big 12 tournament against Colorado.

What makes no sense is that the mountaineers had a resume that was worth being in the field. At the beginning of the season, it achieved great victories against Gonzaga, Arizona, Kansas and Iowa State, all victories against the top -20 teams in the net ranking. A total of 6-10 quad-1 record is up to date for a Bubble team and the 10-13 record in combination with the quad 2 is really good.

The six Quad 1 victories were more than 13 selected AT-large teams. West Virginia has proven that it can beat quality teams, but it was somehow not enough.

Boise State

The late Broncos were not all for nothing. Boise State won nine of his last 11 games of the regular season and made it until the final of the Mountain West tournament, but it wasn’t enough.

Boise State had an extraordinary 24-victory season, more than the first four teams of last year. The Broncos achieved the victory against tournament teams Utah State and New Mexico and also defeated Clemson in the regular season. They followed this with a defeat against the state of San Diego and New Mexico before fell into the state of Colorado in the conference tournament. The Broncos ended with an 8-8 quad 1 and 2 record and prove that they were able to play against the field of 68.

The biggest sign against Boise State was that it had a quad -3 and 4 loss. Although they took place before the beginning of 2025, the entire CV in the selection committee is matters.

Indiana

The late increase in Indiana was everything for nothing. The Hoosiers missed the tournament and gave Mike Woodson a March Madness appearance last season in Bloomington.

A large part of the season was a disappointment for Indiana and sat at 14-10 before reviving his season with impressive victories against the state of Michigan and Purdue. The Hoosiers needed a good week at the Big Ten tournament, but lost in the first matchup in Indianapolis against Oregon.

Indiana can feel offended with the selection of North Carolina. It had a 4-13 quad 1 record and never suffered a bad loss in opposite the Tar Heels-with a perfect 15-0 record in Quad 2-4 games. If North Carolina was not punished for not benefiting from Quad 1 chances, the Hoosiers have the right to be angry that the same does not apply to them.

Ohio state

The state of Ohio had a similar argument to Texas to make the tournament. The only difference is that the Longhorns have entered and did not do the buckeyes, probably because of their bad losses -even though they achieved some remarkable victories this season.

The Buckeyes went 17-15 with victories against Texas, Kentucky, Purdue and Maryland. They also had a No. 41 -Netto ranking, a fairly solid place to consider, get teams behind the field and the highest rank for this year’s tournament.

A 6-11 quad-1 record is not ideal in view of the number of options and a 3-4 quad-2 record, but the six profit stamps in the top quadrant was usually the benchmark for teams in strength conferences that you can start.

UC Irvine

The preparations were about to secure the automatic commandment of the Big West tournament before UC San Diego retired to take the title. While the automatic place had wiped out doubts, Russell Turner’s team had a legitimate case for the first time in 2005 to give the Big West two teams on the field.

At 28-6, UC Irvine is bound in Division I this season for the eightsten victories and corresponds to most of the wins of every team to miss the tournament. The net ranking injured the fatteners the most in the ranking, and the 1-1 quad 1 record probably does not predominate three quad 3 losses. Nevertheless, UC Irvine made enough profit to create a case to be a long place, but instead the Big West will not get two teams in the tournament.

Dayton

A team that flew a large part of the season under the radar but was certainly a case of being a large team was Dayton. The Flyers took third place in Atlantic 10 and while 10 losses in this conference are usually too much, they had a 3-3 brand in Quad 1 games with defeats from Connecticut and Marquette. They also defeated the Atlantic 10 Conference Champion Virginia Commonwealth.

The 2-6 Quad 2 record was injuring and the one Quad 3 loss to Massachusetts in early January could have been the deadly brand that Dayton has ever prevented the bladder.
