  • The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed the former offensive-tackle Tackle Fred Johnson in Philadelphia Eagles to a one-year deal.
  • Johnson, who played for several teams in his career, brings valuable experience to the Jaguars offensive line.
  • This signing takes place after the Jaguars used to add three other offensive linemen in the free agency.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are ready with the first wave of the free agency, but they are not quite finished to add players.

According to a report by ESPNS Adam Schefter, the team, signs the former offensive-tackle-tackle-tackle from Philadelphia Eagles to a one-year deal. The details were given by Johnson’s agent Drew Rosenhaus.

The 27 -year -old Johnson was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a clumsy Free Agent from Florida. After the team in the middle of the team had dispensed with in his rookie year, Johnson was claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he played three seasons for the franchise for three seasons.

Johnson started eight games for the Bengals on guard and Tackle. He played in 23 games before signing the Tampa Bay Buccaners in 2022. Johnson played in five games without starting. He signed with the Eagles in 2023 and has played in 34 games with six starts since then.

Last season, Johnson saw on the left and right duel during his time in Philly Action.

Johnson is just the last addition that the Jaguars made in the team’s offensive line. In the early part of the free agency, the Jaguar signed three offensive linemen.

The additions included two starters, the right guard Patrick Mekari and Center Robert Hainsey. The team also recorded Swing Tackle Chuma Edoga to strengthen their front.

“I think that we answered some questions with our decisions here in the Pro-Free agency and spoke to both the center and the security guard and the Tackle position,” said Jams Manager of Jaguars, James Ladstone, last week of the team’s offensive lines.

“Clearly by signing three of these players, and that we are the most in one position in the course of the Free -agent window, we show the standard for what we actually want to do, and that does not count an offensive line from the equation in the design. But at the same time it is a different position that has an abrasion throughout the entire period of a season, so we never have enough.”

The Jaguars have 10 selections in this year’s draft and plan to build primarily through it.
