CBS was wearing the top game of the Southeasters Conference in the 2023 season. It had a limited big ten time plan in 2023 before the game was born at 3:30 p.m. ET last season.

“Gary Danielson is simply one of the biggest college football analysts of all time. And an even better teammate,” said David Berson, President and CEO of CBS Sports, in a statement. “Gary cares more to raise others and ensure that the team receives all awards. During his 20 years here he helped CBS Sports to the gold standard in reporting on College football. CBS announced that Charles Davis will take over the main analyst next year. From 2007-14 FOX ‘leading college football analyst, Davis, before moving full-time to NFL games. He came to CBS in 2020 and spent the last five seasons as an analyst in No. 2 crew of the network with Ian Eagle.

At the beginning of his career, Davis worked five seasons as the main analyst for TBS game reporting on the BIG 12 and PAC-10 conferences.

Davis will work some NFL games for CBS this season, but JJ Watt will switch from “The NFL Today” Studio to analyst at Eagle.

“Gary has been the outstanding voice in College football for decades and someone I have admired and respected for a long time,” said Davis. “It is difficult to imagine that College Football Samed Day is enthusiastic without him, but I am enthusiastic that we get it with him last season. There is no substitute for Gary, but I am really honored and humble to let him down and play with Brad Nessler and The Incredible Big Team in the CBS team.”
