In 2025 this year started roughly for countless reasons, but one of the worst for those here in Los Angeles were the destructive fires that influenced thousands of houses, companies and neighbors in our city.

In order to honor these brave people, the Hollywood Bowl organized a free concert for La First Heman and those affected by the fires.

This well-deserved audience filled the 17 km stadium and was able to experience a night full of music like no other. From classic to scores from favorite films to a little jazz and even a surprising guest appearance from pop icon Christina Aguilera himself, it was an evening that will not be forgotten soon.

The night began with the Palisades Charter High School, which “The Star Spangled Banner” performed when the entire Bowl audience performed not only in awe in front of our country, but also the resilient children of the Pacific Palisades.

This was followed by a piece of the composer Gabriela Ortiz, which was carried out by La Phil’s own Gustavo Dudamel. Kayumari means “blue deer” and is an important symbol for the Huichol people from Mexico. Ortiz says: “When I received the commission from Los Angeles Philharmonic to compose a piece that thinks after the pandemic about our return to the stage, I immediately thought of the blue deer and his strength to be in the world of immaterial entry as a celebration of the reopening of the live music.” And it was beautiful.

The famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma appeared surprisingly and delighted the crowd with a solo cello piece.

He followed four-time Grammy winners and Altadena-Native Gerard Clayton, who blinded the audience with his variations of Gershwin’s “I had rhythm”.

After a breathtaking choir version of “Bridge Over Unruhbled Water” through the La Master Chorale, the bowl had another pleasure before the break: Christina Aguilera! The blonde siren in a beautiful red dress and long black gloves played Etta James’ “near Last” and her own “beautiful” with breathtaking backup by the La Philharmonic and the La Master Chorale.

After the break, everything revolved around the film composer John Williams at night. Dudamel led by Dudamel, the La Phil Serenad an appreciative amount with a selection Superman, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, And of course, Star Wars. They even returned to an encore to play the fan fave “The Imperial March” from Star Wars: the empire strikes back For Las Film lovers.

All in all, it was a very special night in which those who risked their lives and lost their houses for the devastating fires. During the whole night, various representatives spoke directly to those present and thanked them for their work and their commitment to the city they love. Kim Noltemy, the President and Chief Executive Officer, Kathryn Barger, the La County Supervisor von Altadena, and Lindsey Horvath, La County Supervisor from Malibu and the Pacific Palisades, praised all of our first aid and gifts of the city, which was restored, tall and strongly than before.

And what could be nicer than have represented some of the largest and strongest musical artists – give their time and talent for those who protect houses, save lives and do the impossible? These are our superms and women.
