Mariska Hargitay, Jayne Mansfield to guide Documentary for HBO

Mariska Hargitay will tell the story of her late mother Jayne Mansfield in a new HBO documentary “My Mother Jayne”.

The document is Hargitas’s feature film debut with the feature film and marks the first time that they dive publicly in Mansfield’s history and legacy, almost sixty years after their death.

“This film is a work of love and longing. It is a search for the mother that I never knew, an integration of a part of me that I had never obsessed, and a recovery of my mother and my own truth,” says Hargitay. “I have always believed that there is strength in vulnerability and the process of making this film has confirmed this belief like never before.”

Mansfield was a Hollywood bomb in the 1950s and married Mr. Universe winner Mickey Hargitay in 1958. The couple was together in many films, including “Will Success spoil Rock Hunter?” And “Hercules’ love.”

The couple was divorced in 1964 after greeting three children together; Mansfield died tragically in a car accident at the age of 34 when Hargitay was only 3 years old. She and her two brothers were in the back seat of the car.

According to the publication, the documentary “Mariska, as she wants to know, understand and hug her mother for the first time. Through intimate interviews and a collection of photos and home films that have never been seen before, she came with her mother’s public and private heritage and discovered the layers and depth of the depth of Jayne not only her audience, but to her, to her, to bring her to her.
