Daniel Oyefusi from ESPN believes that there is a chance that Cleveland Browns Quarterback Deshaun Watson played his last down in the NFL.

The Cleveland Browns admitted that it was a big mistake to act against quarterback deshaun Watson at the annual meetings of the NFL last week, but the bad news does not stop here for the Pittsburgh Steelers AFC North Rivals.

According to Daniel Oyefusi von ESPN, several people in the league believe that there is a chance that Waton played his last down in the NFL.

“Managers and agents in the league have expressed doubts that the former Pro Bowl quarters will get another chance in the NFL, even if they are healthy,” writes Oyefusi.

The first thing Watson has to do to get another opportunity is to get healthy. He re -controlled his Achilles last season, which will significantly influence his rehab.

“I would say there is … a probability that he (in 2025) does not play as a medical point of view,” said a foot and ankle specialist, who worked with NFL teams, to ESPN.

Even if Watson should get well, the browns are tied to him for the time being after giving him a five-year NFL record and guaranteed a contract for $ 230 million when they exchanged three tips in the first round to purchase him from the Houston Texans in 2022.

Cleveland owes Watson $ 46 million in the next two seasons and has already restructured his contract several times.

There are also 173 million US dollars at CAP hits that remain in Watson’s contract, which would change money into deadly if the team separated from him in this low season. That would be more than twice as high as the current NFL record of 85 million US dollars that Denver Broncos 2024 had taken for the publication of Quarterback Russell Wilson.

As a result, it is difficult to imagine that the browns even think about the next low season. Until then, the 30-year-old’s market could be completely dried out according to a league.

“When I am published, I don’t see anyone who picks up it,” an NFC manager told ESPN. “And then, the question, the question will be, will he take money with low QB of money? Would he be motivated to play at this point at all?”

Cleveland could also try to act Watson, but it is very unlikely that another team would take over his remaining salary in view of his fights and its history of injury.

Watson was one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL since accession to the browns and completed 341 of 557 passes (61.2%) for 3,365 yards, 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions with a 9-10 record.

Cleveland left this in a very difficult place because the search for the next franchise quarters will continue.
