Waco, Texas Community honors Chris Kyle at Painting with a twist donation campaign

The event worked in collaboration with the American Valor Foundation – a non -profit organization founded by Chris Kyle’s family.

Waco, Texas – A Waco Art Studio transformed Canvas on April 8th during a special fundraiser to a special fundraiser to life and inheritance from the US Navy Seal Sniper Chris Kyle.

Painting with a turn in Waco organized the event in cooperation with the American Valor Foundation – a non -profit organization founded by KYLES family. The event is the 10th year of the partnership of the studio with the organization through its “paintings with a purpose”, which donates part of the proceeds to local charity organizations.

Kyle, known as “American Sniper”, is considered one of the most fatal snipers in the US military history, which is attributed to over 160 confirmed kills during his service. He was inserted into Iraq four times and received several awards for bravery. Kyle was fatally shot in a shooting area in Texas in 2013, just three years after leaving the military. He would have turned 50 on April 8th.

His younger brother Jeff Kyle and her family were present at the event and thanked for the continued support of the community.

“It’s great,” said Jeff Kyle. “Painting with a turn supported us right from the start. My wife and I actually painted this design 10 years ago, so it’s pretty cool to come back, to do it again and see people who still appear.”

The participants have reproduced a painting with the title Amber waves from grainin which the American flag and the symbolic elements of freedom and service are presented.

“This guy has red, white and blue,” said Jeff about his brother. “It stood for what the flag meant. We were raised to understand it, and this painting really embodies him.”

Ken Castello, owner of Malen with a Waco, said that the fundraising campaign was particularly meaningful because it was the first time that the event was acting with KYLES’s actual birthday.

“This is our tenth year in which we work with the American Valor Foundation, and it is the first time that we could do it on Chris’ birthday,” said Castello. “It’s really something special.”

The foundation supports veterans, first aiders and their families through various events and publications. Castello and his team also offer quarterly free painting courses for local veterans as a form of stress relief and community connection.

“The support of veterans is so important,” said Castello. “This is just another opportunity for people to give something back and to be part of something that is really important.”

Many people at the event had connections to the foundation or were connected to the veteran community in any way.

Chris Kyles motto “It is our duty to serve those who serve us” was visible in the studio – a memory of the permanent effects of a man, whose services continue to inspire.
