The organizers said that all 20 living Formula 1 world champions had signed the helmet, which the Triple Champion Stewart (85) made on the 60th anniversary of his debut for the Formula 1 debut in 1973 in 1973.

“It is wonderful that Michael could sign the helmet in this worthy thing, an illness for which there is no healing,” said Stewart of the Daily Mail newspaper on the Sakhir Circuit.

“His wife (Corinna) helped him and it ended the set of every single champion that is still with us.”

A spokeswoman for the Schumacher family confirmed Reuters that the details were correct.
