(Siriusxm) John Mayer recently took over Siriusxms Grateful Dead Channel as a guest -dj to share his favorite deaths. During the session, John Mayer reminded the story of the first time when he played the reproduction of “Scarlet Begonias” from June 16.

It feels very much, this recording, which means that it feels like directly out of the board, and Jerry and the boys, if I like, as if they would play on his guitar at speed with Jerry’s delay pedal, which is a kind of basis of dub music, it is that it takes place with a delay pedal. This is space age. I love this version. It is 16.06.85 in Berkeley, I think the Greek theater. It is “scarlet” in “fire on the mountain”. Before I enter the stage, I only hear an impression of Jerry’s playing at the last minute and the bands that I go on stage so that I can simply come into this spirit, and this is one of these songs that will absolutely do. It is “China/Rider” of May 19, 1974, Portland, Oregon, on the Grateful Dead Channel.
