The California DMV opens early for those who need a real ID

The California Ministry of motor vehicles opens up some offices for an hour this spring to help people who have not received a real ID before the May period.

On May 7, people who increase domestic flights or enter secured federal institutions such as courthouse, a real ID, a passport or another must Approved federal document.

From Monday, 18 DMV offices will open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to June 27th at 7 a.m. The early additional hour is only reserved for people with appointments to get a real ID.

Officials said Californians who would like to improve their driver’s license to a real ID, but already have a document approved by federal administrations approved by a US passport or another, can wait until their license is due.

The Congress passed the Real ID Act in 2005 to improve security and to minimize the terrorist attacks of September 11th. Federal civil servants have repeatedly pushed the date back to which travelers need the new identification card that complies nationwide.
