Man dead after the medical emergency on Manitou inclination

Manitou Springs, Colorado (KKTV) – On Tuesday, the city of Manitou Springs said that a man had died after suffering from a medical emergency on the Manitou tendency.

Officials said that spectators on the Manitou inclination were contacted shortly before 10:30 a.m. with 9-1-1 after finding a man on the slope in medical hardship.

The Manitou Springs police authority and Manitou Springs fire brigade reacted and found the CPR on a 64-year-old man from Oregon. Officials said the man had no more reacted than rescue workers arrived.

Officials said the man was later declared dead.

The department for parks, relaxation and cultural services in Colorado Springs and the city of Colorado Springs works in connection with the city of Manitou Springs, while this incident is examined.

“The Manitou tendency is a popular but strenuous hiking destination that attracts visitors from all over the country,” said the city of Manitou Springs. “City officials commemorate all climbers, in particular those who travel from the state, to judge their physical constitution thoroughly, to understand the difficulty of promotion and to be properly prepared.”

The slope extends over a height of more than 2,000 feet in less than a mile.

“We thank the spectators who quickly intervened and tried CPR,” said Keith Buckmiller, fire chief of Manitou Springs. “Your immediate actions are commendable and reflect the sympathy of our community.”

The exact cause of death has not been identified and is examined.
