Josh Alexander to challenge himself for the championship at MLP Northern Rising

Josh Alexander returns to the ring at MLP Northern Rising on May 10th in Toronto and he goes the gold.

After 41 years, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling (operations of Scott d’Amore) brings back the Canadian heavyweight championship. Angelo Mosca Jr. was the last defending champion in 1984 before the promotion to the WWE was included. MLP organizes a 20-man gauntlet match in Northern Rising to determine the new champion.

This is where Alexander comes into play. He is officially entered in the mix.

In Addition to Alexander, The List including “The Nomad” Bishop Dyer (Aka Baron Corbin), “The Maharaja” Raj Dhesi (Aka Jinder Mahal), Rhino, Pco, Rich Swann, El Phantasmo, Billy Gunn, Qt Marshall, Sheldon Jean, Alex Zayne, Bhupinder Gujjar, “Psycho” Mike Rollins, Michael Allen Richard Clark and Johnny Parisi (also known as Johnny Swinger). That does 15 out of 20.

Northern Rising will also contain a few female women. Gisele Shaw wrestles Kylie Rae in the tournament finals to crown the first MLP women -Canadian champion for women. The other competition is a collision of qualified veterans between Miyu Yamashita and Serena Deeb.

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Thom Latimer, Matt Cardona, Jonathan Gresham and Stu Grayson are also announced for the card.
