Lewis Hamlton has “no doubt” about the Ferrari potential in a difficult start

Lewis Hamilton believes that Ferrari checks more than any other team in the Formula -1 network, but remains convinced that it will return to profit methods with enough time.

The seven -time world champion joined Mercedes Ferrari in winter and made a great wave of interest before his first race for the team in Australia last month.

The performance of the car has not yet reached the hype of Hamilton’s arrival without podiums from the first four Grand Prize of the season in China having a sprint -victory in China.

When asked whether people outside the team tried to start the season from Ferrari’s start of the season, Hamilton said: “Yes – I mean, on one side it is to be expected.

“It is the biggest team in the history of Formula -1 history, and it is special, and of course there are more clicks, there are more stories that have been written about it. And people have opinions, and it was not always smooth sailing.

“From my point of view, I can’t work with a team and change things overnight. And we have spent this time really getting to know each other. There are changes that are at short notice that we will do together – keep the size and build the areas in which we are stronger.

“And some of them could be at short notice and some of them are in the long term. There are so many great things in this team, and that’s why we want to use the energy and passion in a team. We also have to protect the team because the limelight is more in this team than in any other team.

“Really everyone in this team, his heart is so in there. We drive up and down with the roller coaster ride. And I have no doubt that we get where we are. It will only take time.”

At the Bahrain Grand Prix last weekend, Hamilton said that during the second stint of the race with the Ferrari, he felt more comfortable after adjusting his driving style to the demands of the car.

His lap time in this phase of the race also showed an improvement, overtook six cars and closed the gap to the leaders.

Hamilton hopes that he can build on this advances in Saudi Arabia this weekend.

“That is the goal,” he added. “I think it was really positive to have this stay and to have this experience with the car. Some changes that I made during the race in my driving style.

“Now implement it that every time I go into the car.

“If the pressure builds up and you really have to pull out this additional time, you can easily fall on your old ways. I saw an insight into this by testing it, but to actually adapt it to it and actually use it every time I want to work on.

“That should be my question, but mine is, we had five races with a small gap on six weekends. Especially in their situation, the teams change.”
