Demi Moore speaks and loses Oscar against Mikey Madison

Demi Moore expected Mikey Madison to win the Oscar for the main actress.

“I don’t know why I knew it, but I did it,” said Moore in an interview. “I was so centered and calm. I didn’t feel disappointed. I didn’t feel anything about such things. I just trusted and trust whatever will develop.”

As an industry veteran, Moore, had an impressive price -loan season and won the drama price at the Golden Globes, the Critics Choice Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards for their performance as Elisabeth Funkelt “The Substance”, a film about an actor who is filled with so much self -thinning that she takes a drug called “The Substance” to create younger version of itself.

In her emotional speech on the acceptance of Golden Globe, she revealed that a producer once called her a “popcorn actress” that “corroded me over time until I thought a few years ago that this might be”.

Although Moore is the favorite (and despite the Academy of Arts and Science Sciences to a Redeemerbow), Moore lost to newcomer Madison.

Moore admitted that she was disappointed with the loss, but was not injured. In fact, she said that during the commercial break before the award was announced she whispered to her manager: “I think it is about Mikey.”

After the award ceremony, Moore wrote on Instagram: “When this award -winning season comes to an end, I am so overwhelmed by gratitude for this trip. It was the journey of a life and we are just starting! So grateful for my team, my fellow candidates, and everyone who has made this experience so full that he adheres to joy and light.

Madison for her told the Hollywood reporter that after the award ceremony “I wrote with Demi, which I adore. She is one of the sweetest and friendliest women I have ever met, and I am so grateful that I could meet her and experience her brilliance and talent personally.”

Despite the Oscars Snub, Moore told the time that the success of “the substance” ultimately increased its profile.

“Going from the beginning this year when I was never part of the conversation to be critically recognized for my work, I have just made it possible for myself to open my belief in greater opportunities,” she said.

Moore is currently shooting the second season of the Paramount+ Drama series “Landman”. Her next feature are boots Riley’s “I Love Booster” with Keke Palmer and Lakeh Stanfield.
