Alex Sarr gets great praise from the top NBA analyst

Alex Sarrs Rookie season was the roller coaster ride. Sarr’s reputation, which was collected as a second in the NBA design of 2024, was not so high after the analysts considered the 2024 class to be “weak”. His terrible performance in the summer league worsened his perception under the occasional fan base.

Since then, however, Sarr has improved quietly at the end of his rookie season and has developed into a solid starter. Although he was not as noticeable as Stephon Castle of the Spurs, the Wizards Rookie was great for his team, and in the second half of the season his potential appeared.

Kirk Goldsberry spoke about “The Zach Lowe Podcast” and praised Sarr for his performance this season when he brought the Wizards rookie in his first all-rookie voice slip for team.

“I think Sarr will be a great player in this league for a long time,” said Goldsberry. “I think the wizards should be satisfied with him … I just think that he was what we thought. This is a good rookie year for one of the top players in the design, a weak design, and I think he is set up in his position for long-term success.

In his rookie season, Sarr scored an average of 13.0 points per game (second among all qualified newcomers) and 6.5 rebounds for the wizards. His defense was also enormous because he is second under rookies with 1.5 blocks per game (behind Donovan Clingan). He carried out exactly according to expectations, both in terms of his strengths and weaknesses.

There are areas that can improve for Sarr: its efficiency from the field must be better, and a little more mass could help him to be able to influence the defense. Nevertheless, what we saw from him this season is the future for Washington Hell.
