Still amazed over 2xko’s 10 character launch service plan? Riot heard it and set up the development team to “get as many champions out as possible” to get “as many champions as possible”

After the unveiling that 2xko will only have 10 playable masters at the start and the negative reception to an undoubtedly smaller first roster than expected, the executive producer of 2xko, Tom Cannon, has explained that the development team has shifted to further prioritize the champion output, and its personal target character.

Tom Cannon in conversation with Press, professional fighting players and commentators and content creators at the 2xko community tour in France in France said Tom Cannon when he was asked by VG247 about the 10-character start player.

“I can say that we have champions that we work on that you have not seen yet. I will tell you a number that feels better than 10, just like my personal opinion, around 24 years old. I think you are at 24 years, okay, now there is enough to keep up, and then we can add more.

“We are not close now, so we will work quickly to get to this point, and then we will continue. The reason why I am a little cage in this stuff is that we are honestly better in this stuff. This is a new fighting team, although we are more than we are familiar with with the character.

“We have several Champions pods at the same time and have heard the feedback that we received in relation to the 10 champion starters. We know that they want more and we agree to the game team to ensure that we can get out as many champions as possible while the quality level remains high.

“But yes, one of the top things that we are now talking about as a team is the squad, because we know that 10 is small. We know that we want more. We know that the league adds new champions.

Cannon would not continue to respond to the planned cadence of Champion publications after the start, how many publications the team hopes to come to the players after the game, but the answer offers an insight into the team’s reception to the 10-champion figure. Riot Games, a company that has built up in the development of live service games, has experience in supporting games like 2xko for long periods, even if the 2xko team itself is relatively fresh for the ordeal.

When the players in America jump into the game again over the second Alpha Laboratory test from 2xko, the focus of the community after widespread gameplay updates is exactly on the game. With the game that is supposed to start for some time in 2025, we are unveiled three more characters before the 1.0 version of 2xko is finally out there. Who do you think and when do you think we will see them? Let us know below!
