The Australian east coast met five dead as “dangerous” waves

Five people drowned after large waves hit Australia at the beginning of the Easter weekend.

Two more miss states off the coasts of New South Wales and Victoria.

On Saturday, a man’s body was found in the water near Tathra in the south of New South Wales. There was a day after a 58-year-old Fischer and two other men were found dead in separate incidents in the state.

Retters are looking for a man who was washed into the water near Sydney. A woman and a man drowned on Friday after her group was swept into the sea in San Remo in Victoria.

“One of the women managed to return to the shore, but the other woman and the man couldn’t,” said Victoria’s police.

Victoria Premier Jacinta Allan said it was a “terrible start” for the Easter weekend.

“My thoughts are with the family of someone who has lost their lives under such tragic circumstances, and there may be more difficult news,” she said.

Australia’s eastern states were beaten by dangerous waves.

The head of the charity organization Surf Life Saving Australia, Adam Weir, advised the holidaymaker to visit patrolled beaches after their data had shown that 630 people had drowned on uncontrolled beaches in the past 10 years.

“But these coastal locations can represent dangers, some that you can see, and some that you cannot do, which is why we have some simple advice: stop, look, stay alive.”
