In 2019, Tyler Perry Was the first black person to have his own TV/film Studio Lot fully. In addition to an opening evening occupied with stars, the studio saw many large films and television programs that have been shot there since it was founded, including “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, “Coming 2 America”, “Mea Culpa”, “House of Payne”, “Sistas” and more.

Now young filmmakers and emerging artists have the opportunity to go on the same theater site, thanks to a new program that Perry has just introduced. Named Dream collectiveThe three-person initiative is devoted to the finding and building of the next wave underrepresented voices Deadline.

“If I can enter the industry – to believe. When I started making films twenty years ago, nobody knew my name in Hollywood or gave me a shot,” said Perry about the program. “The Tyler Perry Studios Dream Collective is my dream to open the door for the next generation of artists.”
