After her loss against Gujarat (GT), Delhi Capitals (DC) achieved a clinical (GT) with an eight Wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 40 of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. DC held second place in the point table with the kind permission of the victory.

Mukesh Kumars 4/33 headed DCS Bowling efforts. Abishek Porels 51 (36) and KL Rahul’s unbeaten 57 (42) against his former team emphasized the sixth victory of the season.

After DC Skipper Axar Patel was first asked about the loss of the throw, it was again a Häplimity case in the order of LSG.

Aiden Markram accepted the attack early on Mitchell Starc and Mukesh Kumar. Marsh did not hold back much longer and the duo brought up a partnership with fifty runs in the power play, whereby LSG was 51/0 after six overs.

Markram continued his happy run and achieved a fifth value of 50+ in six innings. Dushannha Chanaera stagged his girl -Wicket in his first game of the season, and LSG was 87/1 in halfway.

Nicholas Pooran rose from the brand with two four of his first two deliveries, and it seemed as if LSG would achieve another large number of points with the friendly approval of her TOP-3. However, Starc returned again this season to relieve Pooran when he chopped back on his stumps.

Mukesh then turned over twice and dismissed Abdul Samad before he tidy Marsh (45 OFF 36) with a precise right Yorker to leave LSG stunned after 14 overs with 110/4.

DC then kept the pressure up with the ball. An important cameo of 36 from 21 deliveries by Ayush Badoni, but supported by an expired catch by Tristan Stubbs, when Badoni was to three, and after 20 overs to 159/6.

Mukesh recorded two more gates after he had hit three fours in an eventful final of the Innings to end with impressive figures of 4/33.

Abishek Porel was the heart of another positive start for DC. While Karun Nair for a fast 15 (9), when the ball also proved to be effective with the ball, Porel and KL Rahul kept the swing to see DC to 54/1 at the end of the power play.

Despite a short Squeezer from LSG, Rahul and Porel were unimpressed and soon changed the corridors to take the LSG game away. Porel, who could not build on good starts in his last knock, left it on this occasion and were in 33 deliveries for his first fifty season.

Rahul also increased the use and in no time the equation of DC fell to 58 runs of 53 deliveries.

Markram was again with partnership breakers when Porel (51 Rev 36) broke into the middle of the wind. However, LSG’s joy was short -lived when Axar Rahul connected to let the runs flow.

Axar beat four six on the way to 34*(20), while Rahul set up his third fifty season before ending the game with a six when DC marched to the goal in 17.5 over.
