Pa fire brigade workers work overnight, while Michaux State Forest Waldbranns last almost 1,000 acres

Firefighters worked overnight to burn forest fires in the Michaux State Forest, which says civil servants that they burned together for almost a thousand morning.

By Friday morning, the Ministry of Public Security from Cumberland County confirmed that two fires are still active: the Thompson Hollow Fire, which is located near Schippensburg and Thompson Hollow Roads, and the Hammond’s Rock Fire near Ridge Road and Cold Springs Road.

The dispatchers said that volunteer firefighters were eliminated by the night monitoring of the fires with the crews of the Ministry of Nature Conservation and Natural Resources.

On Thursday at around 10:30 p.m., the Ministry of Nature Conservation and Natural Resources announced in an update that both fires quickly spread on Thursday due to dry conditions and things such as Berglaurels, which can act as fuel for fire.
