The LSU women’s basketball team landed one of the top players in the transfer portal.

Milaysia Fulwiley, a dynamic guard who spent the first two seasons of her career in South Carolina, went to social media on Friday to announce that she had undertaken to train Kim Mulkey’s Tigers.

Fulwiley is an emerging junior and one of the most covered transfers of the 2025 cycle. In two years with the Gamecocks, the rival of the LSU boss conference of the Southeasters Conference, she took games out of the bench and often changed her complexion, usually triggering the passing of trainer Dawn Staley with dazzling transition surfaces.

Now Fulwiley Baton Rouge will bring this goal, where she will share a decline with Flau’jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams.

The Tigers have a clear low season to add preliminary players, but they have also lost both lead balls. Shayeann Day-Wilson exhausted her justification and Last-Tear Poa switched to the US state of Arizona.

Fulwiley, a 5-foot 10 combo guard, is neither a traditional passer and a consistent, efficient evaluation threat. But she is a talented athlete, a dangerous transition shovel and a former highly rated Rekrute, who now serves as a key piece in a couple team that achieved the national championship game.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, achieved an average of 11.7 points per competition in both seasons of her career. As a newcomer, she shot 44% of the field and 34% from the 3-point area. In the second year she converted 43% of her field goals and 26% of her long -term attempts with an average of 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals.

In three career games against the LSU, Fulwiley scored an average of 13.3 points at 45% and drained six of their 13 attempts from beyond the arch. She also achieved six steals. Her top show against The Tigers was a 24-point excursion in the title game 2024 Sec tournament, a Matchup that South Carolina 79-72 won.

Fulwiley only scored at least 20 points seven times, but she played only 19 minutes per game in the first two years. Her average per 40-minute points last season was 24.9 points per competition, one of the six highest prices under Division I in the second year and a higher average than that of other second stars in their class like Williams (21.9) and Madison Booker from Texas (20.5).

Now Fulwiley could stand in line for more minutes – and a leading role.

The LSU replaces eight of the 13 scholarship players from the team last season. There are only four returning participants – Johnson, Williams, Kailyn Gilbert and Jada Richard – and they are all guards, just like three of the four recruits that are signed for No. 1 -Fresman class.

But these facts did not prevent mulkey from pursuing Fulwiley, and then ended up in one of the most remarkable movements of the transfer portal cycle of 2025.
