John Schneider: Day 2 of 2025 NFL Draft was “a cool day in the history of Seahawks”.

The Seattle Seahawks had every active day 2 of the NFL design from 2025. In the second round, they exchanged 35th place against South Carolina Safety and NFL Scouting combination star Nick Emmanwori, stayed in 50 with their other second rider for Miami Tight End Elijah Arroyo and ended on Friday evening with the large selection of the Alabama Quarterback JALEN Milroe in the third round (No. 92 in total).

From the moment when DK Metcalf and Geno Smith were traded for picks of the second and third round, interest in what Seattle would do on the second day of the draft rose. Milroe was obviously the exclamation mark in view of the rarity of Seattle that quarterback was designed under General Manager John Schneider.

In his press conference after the disappointment, Schneider was enthusiastic about how the night took place.

“Exciting day,” said Schneider. “It is a cool day in the history of Seahawks.

Schneider expanded a few questions later on his “Cool Day in the history of Seahawks”. He even stated that the Seahawks were almost released in round 1 to get Emmanwori.

“It just feels like Nick was added today, we had a lot of conversations last night about how we do it,” said Schneider. “We almost exchanged ourselves to get Nick. Everyone was very passionate. If we had come out of the draft without it, we would have been disappointed. Well, the same with Elijah. Everyone talked throughout the process, while all of our meetings we add up to this guy.

“All four, people, the competitors, the athletes, they just feel something special. I cannot describe it differently than say that they feel special, as if they feel different. It is a great thing, as I said last night, the group of players who are here to add these boys. It will be excellent.
