Guardian choose Kolby Allard – MLB trading rumors

The guards announced that they selected the contract of the left -hander Kolby Allard From Triple-A Columbus. Left -handed Erik Sabrowski was moved to the 60-day injury list and the right-handed Zak Kent was optimized for triple-A in the corresponding movements. As reported yesterday, Cleveland also called Doug Nikhazy as 27th man for today’s Doubleheader with the Red Sox.

Allard signed a Minor League contract with the guards in February after the Phillies had taken the south paw outside her list after the 2024 season and Allard chose the freelance agency. For Philadelphia it was essentially a previously not numerous change, since Allard had a referee -related and predicted that he earned USD 1.1 million in 2025, although Phils had still decided against the payment of this modest sum.

Last year, the veteran made no sterling arguments for itself for the Phillies, with only one strike rate of 19.7%, but a solid walking rate of 6.8%. Allard’s 4,18 Siera was particularly better than his era, and it was the second best Siera Allard, who was released during a seven-year MLB career, in which the Lefty in 272 Innerings published an ERA of 5.99 ERA with three different teams. Allard has neither posted particularly good numbers as a starter nor as a helper, but his ability to work in both functions as a swingman has always received opportunities at the large league level.

Yesterday’s rain gave the Guardians an unexpected off-day and builds a busy upcoming route of the schedule. Cleveland will play 13 games in the next 12 days. It is therefore a useful way to deal with this increased workload to the pitching employees. It remains to be seen how long Allard could hold onto the Guardians’ squad, and since he no longer has options for smaller league, the guards would first have to determine it and expose him to the exception rules before he was back to the minors. Allard would once again have the opportunity to choose a freelance agency because of a complete task should this situation.

Sabrowski started the season with the 15-day IL after the elbow inflammation had stopped taking it from it during the spring training. A change to the 60-day injury list counts as no surprise, since Sabrowski still needs a longer congestion to compensate for the lack of his regular preparation time. This means that his debut 2025 will be held at the end of May at the earliest. (In memory, the watch begins for a 60-day IL placement at the time of an initial IL placement, not from the time when a player is officially postponed to 60 days.)
