Forza Horizon 5 for the first impressions of the PS5

After admiring the Horizon Festival from the entire console for years, we finally got our hands into our hands Forza Horizon 5 For PlayStation 5 – and the hype really does justice to the hype.

And it’s not just about the hypercars (although they are breathtaking); We were enjoyed to cut crashed slanted rears, vintage rally cars and even in Abarth. We even put our own “Hypebeast” dial on an individual journey. With brands like Alfa Romeo and Lancia in the fold, there is a certain euro flair that feels fresh on this platform.

We also immersed the extensions upside down, which are bundled with the Premium edition from the start. Technically speaking, the PS5 version is incredibly well optimized. We switched between the performance mode – the smooth, crisp 60 frames per second – and the quality mode, which delivers 4K visuals with radiation tracking at 30 fps. Both looked beautiful, but the additional immersion of the dual sensense controller sealed the deal. You feel the street. Literally. Every slip of the tires, every brake lock, every surface change – all through the adaptive triggers and feel. It makes a polished racing driver in a tactile experience. And with activated cross play, we immediately connected to a flourishing community of players on Xbox and PC.

From the spontaneous mini-games from Horizon Arcade to the return of the eliminator Battle Royale mode, the multiplayer elements only work.
