For players who have extensively explored Cyrodiil in Oblivion Remastered, these open world games are for a great follow-up.

Now a Reddit user named GnbblinxD has made an interesting discovery: it is possible to Cyrodiil in Oblivion Remastered. In the case of an invisible walls, players are usually stopped when they try to leave Cyrodiil, but Gnoblinxd found that it was possible to enter Valenwood by being pursued to the Strid River from to Kvatch in Kvatch. At some point, players south of the Oblivion goal in Kvatch can jump into the Strid River and then climb the hills up to reach Valenwood. As expected, the area has no actual content, but the entire land mass can be examined and consists of a huge area with levels, mountains and more. I personally replicated GnoblinxD’s feat with the same entrance to Valenwood and can confirm that it works in the current version of the game.

How to make Cyrodiil forgotten

  • Go along the Strid River from Quellad and drive west.

  • Go on with the invisible wall to the south of Kvatch.

  • At a certain point it is possible to jump into the Strid River.

  • Swim to Valenwood, climb the mountains and explore.

  • Gamers can be walked around for regions such as Valenwood, but they cannot load games stored outside of Cyrodiil.

However, there is a catch that was discovered by GnbblinxD. The player finally drove west into the ocean and tried to enter the Summerset Islands because there seemed to be a land mass on the horizon, but the water was not swimming outside outside of Cyrodiil and they fell into the void. It is possible to save the game outside of Cyrodiil, but parades are not loaded. So it is important that players save before they try to replicate or that they can lose progress.

This discovery shows how faithful to the original game Oblivion Remastered Is. As some of the old school players may know, it was already possible to leave Cyrodiil with similar methods in the original title in 2006.

It’s fair to say that Oblivion Remastered Was very successful, and part of the popularity of the game could be related to how it improved the classic experience without losing its charm. Bethesda recently revealed this Oblivion Remastered Reached over 4 million players and counted Xbox Game Pass and sales, which is an impressive performance.
