Alabama football hosts regular-season Final Tide teammates: Roll Call, Nov. 30

In a tradition that Kalen DeBoer started as head coach in Washington, the Alabama football team welcomed a special visitor who fights through the end of every Friday practice. It was no different this week on the day before the Iron Bowl as the team hosted the final Tide Teammates of the regular season.

“You just saw the joy that you brought to people and there’s a good energy that even our players have and some excitement as we wrap up and go through Friday practice,” DeBoer explained earlier this season. “It makes you feel good when you do something for other people. People just love the game, look at these players as idols, fight their own battles in a lot of different ways and hopefully give our guys some perspective on the fight. “We’re going to fight on the field is really nothing compared to the battles for that some people struggle with, especially when it comes to their lives or the things they have struggled with throughout their time. It was really cool guys I embraced it and enjoyed it I think

In keeping with tradition, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe delivered the ball to the recognized child, who then did the rest to make it to the end zone and celebrate with his teammates. The Crimson Tide will face Auburn in the Iron Bowl on Saturday.
