Honda halved after speeding car ran red light in Phelan accident – VVNG.com

PHELAN, California (VVNG.com) – A collision in Phelan left a Honda vehicle cut in two and a 21-year-old driver injured after she was struck by a speeding vehicle Friday morning.

It happened on November 29, 2024 around 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Phelan Road and Baldy Mesa Road.

According to witnesses, the Toyota was traveling east on Phelan Road, ran the red light and collided with the Honda, which was attempting to make a left turn onto Baldy Mesa Road.

The 21-year-old driver of the Honda was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Toyota was also injured and required medical attention. A California Highway Patrol officer followed the ambulance to the hospital to take a blood sample from the driver, who was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.

The male driver of the Corolla was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run in which he struck a minivan twice, and after fleeing the scene, he was involved in the collision with the Honda.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the Victorville Cogeneration Plant and further information will be updated as it becomes available.
