Teddy Long hopes WWE doesn’t break up this tag team too soon

WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long hopes a current WWE tag team stays together for the long haul, stressing that they are a good fit as a couple.

Long said in a recent interview on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge that current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill should continue to be a team for a long time. The former “WWE SmackDown” GM maintained why they should stay together despite hinting that they might split up.

“You know, let me say this while we’re at it – my goodness, man, they look so good together, Bianca and Jade. Why would you stop this now?” Long asked. “They could have a good win. I don’t really understand that part of it. We don’t know until maybe it actually happens, you know what I mean? I’m like you two (Bill Apter and Mac Davis, the co-panelists on the show), I look at it as a joke or something from what they do, I just wouldn’t break them up right away, man. They look so good together, man. Try them.”

There have been rumors of a possible rift between the two tag team champions. Some suggest that Belair may have been the one who recently attacked Cargill behind the scenes. An attack by an unknown individual led to Cargill being withdrawn from the WarGames women’s match and replaced by a former women’s champion (spoiler), while she was also replaced in the US women’s title tournament by an “NXT” star ( Spoiler).

Cargill was reportedly ruled out of the game because she recently sustained a legitimate injury.
