No. 1 Oregon will try to complete a perfect season on Saturday when it hosts reigning national runner-up Washington at Autzen Stadium.

Oregon is 11-0 this season but is coming off a scare, narrowly defeating unranked Wisconsin 16-13 on Nov. 16. That wasn’t the only close call of Oregon’s season, however, as the Ducks defeated Ohio State, which is still ranked #1. 2 in the country today, 32-31 on October 12th, and now mined-no. 11 Boise State 37-34 on September 7th.

Aside from those three matchups, however, the Ducks have made quite a mess of their schedule for this year’s postseason and will look to do the same when they take on Washington on Saturday.

Washington, meanwhile, has been unable to recover from head coach Kalen DeBoer’s losses to Alabama and quarterback Michael Penix’s losses to the NFL in the offseason, as the Huskies are 6-5 this season, their first under new head coach Jedd Fisch. After reaching the national title game last year, this season has been at least a little disappointing for the Huskies, although after two big losses to their program, it’s understandable why they’ve seen a decline in their play.

The Ducks have a strong offense this season, led by quarterback Dillon Gabriel, a two-time transfer from Oklahoma and previously UCF. The signal caller threw for 3,066 yards and 22 touchdowns with just six interceptions in 2024. Oregon running back Jordan James was also productive, rushing for 1,067 yards on 191 carries and 11 touchdowns on the year.
