DELMARVA It’s a chilly Black Friday for shoppers, with even colder air arriving tonight, into the weekend and into next week.

A strengthening cold front later this afternoon will bring the coldest air mass of the season. This afternoon temperatures will peak in the 40s to around 50 degrees. This afternoon and evening will be mostly cloudy, with a chance of drizzle or showers as the colder air moves in.

Expect clear skies and very cold temperatures this evening as lows fall into the 20s and 30s. Wind feels low 20 degrees in the morning.

With mostly sunny skies, weekend highs reaching the upper 30s to lower 40s and overnight lows dipping into the 20s. More clouds are expected on Sunday. The semi-static weather pattern will continue, with high pressure in the southwest and low pressure in the northeast sending cold, dry air across the region.

Cool, brisk conditions will prevail Saturday and Sunday, and this pattern will continue into early next week. Monday through Wednesday will see nearly identical weather, with highs around 40 degrees in Delmarva and colder temperatures in the Poconos. Lows in the 20s and 30s overnight.







Clippers

Midweek offers a possible change as an Alberta Clipper is expected to pass through the region late Wednesday. If the cold air is stable, central Delmarva may experience light snow or mixed precipitation, while areas further south may see only rain. Thursday could see drying and a slight weakening of temperatures before another system approaches.
