A Fredericksburg man has been arrested in connection with murder and other crimes, police said

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (DC News now) – The Fredericksburg Police Department (FPD) said a man was arrested on November 27 in connection with a murder and other crimes.

FPD said it received a tip about a suspect at a residence who was wanted for multiple crimes, including his involvement in a homicide that occurred Nov. 18 in Caroline County.

Police confirmed the suspect’s whereabouts and were able to obtain a search warrant, which they used to determine he was hiding in the apartment.

Officers said although the suspect was not cooperating with police, they managed to arrest him and take him into custody.

The suspect was identified as Jamale Antonio Moore, 35, of Fredericksburg.

Moore is in the Rappahannock Regional Jail and is being held without bail.
