A person is killed in a fire in Deering House, one is flown to Boston with injuries

Deering, NH – Deering Fire, the police and the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office examine a fire in which one person was killed and another seriously injured.

Deering Fire and Rescue reacted to a message about a fire in which several people were trapped in a single -family house on the Hart Farm Road in Deering, on Saturday at 9:19 p.m. Officials from the Hillsboro Police Department were the first to arrive at the scene and reported an upcoming severe fire from the house. Additional resources were requested and firefighters from the municipalities of Hillsboro, Bradford, Mont Vernon, Henniker, Hopkinton, Washington, Weare, Antrim, Francestown, New Boston, Goffstown and Bennington reacted. At 11:46 p.m. the fire was considered under control

With the help of a dog of the New Hampshire State Police to search for human remains, a dead victim in the house was found.

A man who was initially locked on the second floor when the fire broke out was saved from the house by a neighbor and brought to an surrounding hospital with serious but not life -threatening injuries. He was later moved to a hospital in the Boston area.

On Sunday morning, investigators worked at the scene of the accident of the badly damaged building, took photos and collected evidence. The deputy certificate was on site and a local funeral home brought the victim of the fire away. In the Chief Medical Examiner office in Concord, an autopsy is carried out to check the victim’s identity and confirm the cause of death and type of the victim.
