A “person of interest” in the murder of the boy was faced with previous allegations

A youth football coach, of whom the police say, is a “person of interest” for the death of a 13-year-old boy in Los Angeles in custody and because of sexual attacks in a non-related incident, the authorities said.

Mario Edgardo Garcia Aquino, who trains football in Whitsell Park in North Hollywood, was arrested on Wednesday by the Los Angeles police department. A foot search by LAPD investigators and FBI agents led to the discovery of the boy’s body next to the North Harbor Boulevard north of the West Gonzales Road.
