A short break from the mild weather

New York (Pix11) – For the first time in some time it felt like spring in New York City.

Slight temperatures returned to the Tri-State area and Saturday reached the mid-1950s. The New Yorkers were able to leave their heavy winter jackets behind, but unfortunately the cold air has returned for a short stay.

The temperatures decrease steadily on Sunday evening and reach the lower 20s in the early Monday morning, which causes the ministry for the homeless to issue a codes Blue Weather Notes.

Code Blue is in force until Wednesday from 8 a.m. Accommodation and drop-in centers will be available in the city for the homeless and those who are looking for protection. Nobody is denied protection during a code blau.

The NYCDHS will use Outreach teams to support homeless people. If you come across a homeless person in the cold, please call 311 and an Outreach team will be sent to this place.
