A teenage murderer on wheels is seen in new bodycam footage after murdering an innocent boy

Newly released bodycam footage shows perverted “Hell on Wheels” murderer Mackenzie Shirilla pleading with Ohio police during a 2022 arrest.

The disturbing video showed the distraught teenager crying and begging police not to “break her bracelet” as a Strongsville detective handcuffed her.

In August 2023, Shirilla, now 20, was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison with the possibility of parole after she killed her boyfriend Dominic Russo (20) and his friend Davion Flanagan (19) when they drove their car into a building raced 100 miles per hour in July 2022.

In the footage, an officer could be heard asking, “Where is she?” as he approached another police vehicle where the handcuffed teenager was being held.

“Hello Mackenzie,” the officer said as he opened the back door of the car, “Can you get out for me?”

Shirilla, teary-eyed and dressed in a white tank top and unbuttoned black sweatshirt, then exited the back of the patrol car before being arrested.

Shirilla, who was about to turn 18 just two days after the fatal accident, is then seen crying quietly in the back seat of the police vehicle.

According to a report from the Cuyhoga County District Attorney’s Office, at approximately 5:30 a.m. on July 31, 2022, Shirilla was “driving her Toyota Camry with the two passengers inside at a controlled speed down Progress Road in Strongsville.”

But almost immediately after turning onto Progress Drive, Shirilla accelerated her vehicle to 100 miles per hour.

She then plowed her car directly through a business sign and into the Plidco Building, a brick building at the intersection of Progress and Alameda Drive, the report continued.

The teenager’s reckless actions were captured on nearby surveillance footage and proved to be crucial evidence in her eventual conviction.

“The video clearly demonstrates the defendant’s purpose and intent,” said Judge Nancy Margaret Russo.

“She chose a path of death and destruction that day.”

“Whether Shirilla also intended to kill himself was a matter of speculation and irrelevant to the assessment of the available evidence,” Russo added.

Russo ultimately ruled that the defendant, whose actions were “controlled, methodical, deliberate, premeditated and purposeful,” intended to kill the young men.

The judge found Shirilla guilty on all charges, including four counts of murder, four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, one count of drug possession and one count of possession of criminal tools.

Despite the possibility of parole, Russo expressed doubts about Shirilla’s conviction that she would actually be released after 15 years, agreeing with prosecutors who claimed the defendant had shown a “shocking lack of remorse.”

Although Shirilla’s lawyers appealed her conviction, it was upheld by an appeals court in September 2024.

However, Shirilla maintained her innocence in court and even shook her head during victim impact statements.

“No one wanted this to be a murder or for Mackenzie Shirilla to be punished for this accident, but this was not a car accident,” Christine Russo, the mother of Shirilla’s then-boyfriend, said in court.

“The evidence and science have proven that Mackenzie Shirilla murdered both my son Dominic and Davion.”
