Former President Obama says he tries to improve the funny time with his wife after two hours in the White House left him in a “deep deficit” with the former first lady.

“I was in a deep deficit with my wife,” Obama told College President Steven Tepper to Hamilton when he was asked about his post-white house life at an event on Thursday.

“So I tried to dig out of this hole by occasionally doing fun things,” joked Obama, 63.

The Obamas bound the knot in 1992.

The former commander -in -chief previously said that he was strengthening his relationship with his spouse from the Executive Villa in 2017.

“Just let me say that: it will certainly help to be out of the White House and have a little more time with her,” said Obama in 2023.

Apart from the fact that he returns to his wife’s good grace, the ex-president said that he spent his time to concentrate on the Obama Foundation and end the second half of his memoirs. The first volume, “A Replent Land”, was released in 2020.

“It’s like 50 term papers. I think it just goes on for and further,” said Obama about his literary efforts.

“People ask me:” Do you like to write? “I say:” absolutely not “, but I enjoy being written when it’s done,” said Obama.
