Ages of victims revealed in tragic double murder-suicide | KSNF/CODE

JAY, Okla. – The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office released more information Monday about a double murder-suicide over the weekend.

According to the state medical examiner, Alisia Pena, 38, of Tulsa, and her two children died of gunshot wounds.

Undersheriff James Morgan declined to release the names of the two teenage victims, but said the victims were a 5-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl.

The family was found around 6 a.m. Saturday after officers responded to a call about an abandoned SUV on State Highway 85 and 340 Road.

“First the two children were shot, and then she (Pena) turned the gun on herself,” Morgan said.

Morgan said investigators don’t know why Pena was in the Grand Lake area. He said Pena was last seen with friends in Ketchum around 2:35 a.m

Morgan said it did not appear that Pena was involved in a domestic or custody dispute.

“We are still interviewing family members and friends,” Morgan said.

Morgan encouraged individuals to seek help if they are facing a mental health situation.
