Air Noland is moving to the Georgia Bulldogs

Carson Beck will move to the NFL after the season. Gunnar Stockton is likely to be the next to take over his job if Beck leaves. However, Georgia could still end up hiring a quarterback to compete for the role. With many good names gone and still remaining, Air Noland remains in the mix and could be the perfect guy for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Noland was stuck behind guys like Will Howard and Devin Brown. Next to him was another star high school player, Julian Sayin. He would have had a shot at the starting spot next season, but he decided to enter the portal as all reports pointed to Sayin as the future starter. With that, Noland decided to enter the portal. Noland has long drawn interest from schools like Alabama and Miami, which he turned down by committing to Ohio State. Another school to look out for is Georgia.

Noland was a five-star recruit who graduated from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia. During his time as a starter, Noland achieved a 36-6 record. Statistically speaking, Noland threw for over 10,000 yards and 126 touchdowns in his four years as a starter. Noland led his school to a state championship, a state runner-up finish, and earned MaxPreps All-American and Georgia Region 5-AAAAAA Player of the Year honors. Noland has been described as a clone of Michael Penix Jr. due to his southpaw throwing and quick release. Scouts have equipped Noland with the ability to probe all depths of the field.

Athens is about a little less than two hours northeast of where Noland played in high school. With Beck’s departure, a homecoming for the former five-star pocket passer could be likely. Kirby Smart led this Georgia team to an SEC championship and two seeds to the College Football Playoff, even if it didn’t go as smoothly as they would have liked. The question remains whether Gunnar Stockton could easily take over the keys to these Bulldogs’ attack. If the answer is no, they need to find someone in the portal and the perfect solution would be Air Noland.
