Alabama’s official Christmas tree arrives at the Capitol

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The official Christmas tree for the state of Alabama arrived at the Capitol on the back of an 18-wheel pickup truck Monday afternoon.

The 38-foot-tall tree, the exact details of which have not yet been released, was brought to Montgomery by troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The tree was hoisted into place at the top of the marble steps overlooking downtown Montgomery and historic Dexter Avenue. Soon it will be decorated and ready for the official tree lighting ceremony, scheduled to take place on Friday.
