Here you will find a number of local grocery stores open on Thanksgiving.

2024 NJ Grocery Store Thanksgiving Hours:

SUMMIT: Open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m choose Shops on Thanksgiving Day. Others remain closed, call ahead. Normal opening hours on Black Friday and Wednesday 27th
Foodtown: Most are open, but hours vary by location. Call your local meeting point before your visit.
Kings Food Markets: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
ShopRite: Regular opening hours.
Stew Leonard’s: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Extended opening hours from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th.
Stop and shop: Regular opening hours.
Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Extended opening hours Monday to Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. for early shopping. Normal opening hours apply again on Black Friday.
Wegmans: Early closing on Thanksgiving Day at 4:00 p.m. Normal opening hours apply the rest of the week.
Whole Foods: Open on Thanksgiving Day, with varying hours depending on the store. Most are open Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th from 7am to 1pm. Extended opening hours (open until 10 p.m.).

And just FYI, these local grocery stores will be too closed for Thanksgiving: Aldi, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, Trader Joe’s and Walmart.

So if you want to watch the Macy’s Parade on the flat screen TV section of Costco? You’re out of luck this year.
